The spread of fake news refers to the deliberate dissemination of false or misleading information with the aim of deceiving or manipulating audiences. This phenomenon has become increasingly widespread and impactful in today’s digital age, where information moves quickly across various online platforms. Disinformation frequently capitalizes on cognitive biases, manipulating emotions and beliefs to influence public opinion and erode trust in institutions (Birunda & Devi, 2021).
