Nonlinear association between perceived social support and fear of disease progression in stroke patients: a cross-sectional study
Abstract Objectives: To explore the nonlinear association between perceived social support and fear of disease progression in stroke patients. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 300 patients with stroke completed a general information questionnaire, the Fear of Progression Questionnaire-Short Form (FoP-Q-SF), the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS), and the Modified Barthel Index (MBI).
Clinical risk stratification of stroke caregiver distress: an interpretable nonlinear model of caregiving-load categories
Abstract Background: Family caregivers of stroke survivors frequently experience psychological distress. Social support and active coping may be protective, but their associations can vary across levels of caregiving load. Interpretable machine learning may help characterize such nonlinear patterns without assuming a constant linear association. Methods: This multicenter cross-sectional study included 506 family caregivers.
Astragaloside IV attenuates H₂O₂-induced oxidative stress and ferroptosis-like injury in HBZY-1 mesangial cells via the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway
Abstract Ferroptosis has recently been demonstrated to play a critical role in the initiation and progression of diabetic nephropathy (DN). Emerging evidence indicates that ferroptosis is tightly regulated by the Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway. Astragaloside IV (As-IV) exhibits potent antioxidant effects in various disease models. However, whether As-IV inhibits ferroptosis by modulating the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway remains unclear.
Vorticity-induced short-range ordering for heat insulation in anisotropically bonded CsAg 2 I 3
Abstract Vortical motion naturally occurs on various scales, from galaxies to skyrmions, influencing the dynamics of mass and information transport. Yet its impact on lattice dynamics in solids is rarely explored so far, primarily owing to the strong interatomic bonds in real materials that inhibit the actual transport of their constituent species.
Bridged scaffold editing of carbocycles and heterocycles
Abstract Bridged frameworks are widely recognized as privileged motifs in natural products and pharmaceuticals, and their distinctive three-dimensional architectures often underpin target recognition and bioactivity. However, their preparation remains a formidable challenge, with most strategies relying on either linear multi-step syntheses or structurally specialized substrates.
Characteristics of Large‐Scale Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances During the 10 May 2024 Geomagnetic Storm
1 Introduction Geomagnetic storms are complex phenomena resulting from the interaction between solar wind and the Earth's magnetosphere, significantly impacting the magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere system. During geomagnetic storms and substorms, the coupling within this system is intensified, leading to substantial mass, momentum, and energy deposition in the auroral regions.

Progressive Generalized Skin Laxity in a Young Woman
JAMA Dermatology Clinicopathological Challenge Progressive Generalized Skin Laxity in a Young Woman A Chinese woman in her late 20s presented with a 20-year history of progressive skin laxity. In early childhood, she had developed asymptomatic yellowish coalesced papules confined to flexural areas. Subsequently, severe skin sagging occurred on her abdomen with loss of elasticity, then spread extensively with developmental growth.
The Border Effects of Dry Matter, Photosynthetic Characteristics, and Yield Components of Wheat under Hole Sowing Condition
Abstract : Wheat can be cultivated by hole sowing, but its border effect has not yet been studied. Therefore, we carried out a field experiment from 2021 to 2022 at the Doukou Crop Experimental Demonstration Station (108°52′ E, 34°37′ N) of Northwest A&F University in Jingyang County, Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, China. The response of dry matter, photosynthetic characteristics, and yield components of wheat to the border effects under the hole sowing method was studied.
