Thursday morning's storms really brought all of the hazards with them, here's a look at some of the standout reports so far: 3" hail in Page County, IA 80 mph gusts in Cass County, NE 6" rainfall in Fremont County, IA Some of the wind gusts were beyond anything Meteorologist Joseph Meyer and Paige Halter had ever seen. The impacts were widespread along I-80 and into portions of southwestern Iowa, with tree limbs, fences, and even RV's all being swept to the ground.

Council Bluffs City Council votes to keep pit bull ban in place despite pushback from residents

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (KMTV) — The Council Bluffs City Council voted 4-1 Monday night to keep the city's pit bull ban in place, rejecting a repeal effort backed by residents and the mayor. Cole Button is the one council member who voted in favor of lifting the ban. You can learn more about the ban and the effort to repeal it by clicking here. Many neighbors attended the meeting in favor of removing the ban, taking turns speaking for more than two hours.

Jumping into summer at Summerfest at River's Edge Park

They came for the food, the fun and — the foam! KMTV's Zach Williamson and Katrina Markel joined in the fun and even got an interview with Mayor Jill Shudak while covered in suds.
