Authigenic pyrite-magnetic susceptibility relationships influenced by methane seepage (Site U1445, Bay of Bengal)
Abstract The sulfate-methane transition zone (SMTZ) is a pivotal biogeochemical site within marine sediment columns where anaerobic oxidation of methane (AOM) facilitates the reductive dissolution of Fe-(oxyhydr)oxides and forms iron sulfide minerals (ultimately preserved as pyrite) in marine sediments. However, the long-term relationship between pyrite accumulation, sulfur isotope signatures, and magnetic susceptibility (MS) variations in methane-seepage environments remains poorly understood.

Gas hydrate reservoir quality enhanced by framboidal pyrite formation
Abstract Gas hydrate enrichment mechanisms and reservoir characteristics are crucial for understanding their resource potential and role in the global carbon cycle. Traditional models emphasize coarse-grained sediments as primary hosts for hydrates, but recent studies show significant accumulations also occur in fine-grained systems. However, the influence of authigenic minerals, particularly porous framboidal pyrite, on reservoir properties in such settings remains poorly understood.

Control of Rice Sheath Blight by Combining Susceptible Genes Editing and Nano‐Immune Inducer Spraying
Sheath blight (ShB), caused by the necrotrophic fungus Rhizoctonia solani, is one of the serious diseases in rice worldwide (Nizamani et al. 2025). Rice resistance to ShB is controlled by polygenes, each with minor effects on resistance, and to date very few resistance genes with breeding potential have been identified, which heavily hinders the progress on developing ShB resistant varieties (Gao et al. 2021; Wang, Liu, et al. 2025).

5‐Hydroxypyrroloindoline Affords Tryptathionine and 2,2′‐bis‐Indole Peptide Staples: Application to Melanotan‐II
Introduction Practical peptide stapling reactions are important to developing high-affinity peptides in medicine. The objective of stapling is to impart rigidity to otherwise less structured linear precursors in support of the prevailing hypothesis that restricted conformation will afford higher affinity to medicinally relevant targets. Early on, peptide staples were restricted to side-chain amide bonds, disulphides and thioether linkages.

Community Structure and Diversity of Endophytic Bacteria in Melon (Cucumis melo L.) Seeds
1. Introduction Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a significant crop globally, being known for its economic value [1]. However, several diseases dramatically reduce the yield and quality of melons, with bacterial fruit blotch being one of the major seed-borne diseases [2]. Seeds contaminated with the Gram-negative bacterium Acidovorax citrulli spread the disease [3].
