Identification of synovial lymphatic system in the temporomandibular joint and their roles in arthritis and pain
Abstract Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) arthritis is a craniofacial disorder characterized by joint dysfunction and orofacial pain. Lymphatic regulation and function in TMJ remain unknown. Using genetic reporter mice, human tissues, tissue clearing, 3D volume imaging, and functional studies, we identified a synovial lymphatic system in TMJ. In a mouse model of TMJ arthritis, inflammation induces extensive lymphatic remodeling and leads to synovial lymphatic dysfunctions.
Spatial Transcriptomics of TMJ Reveals a Remodeling Fibroblast‐Immune Microenvironment Driving Arthritis Pain
1 Introduction The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is a complex structure comprising bone, muscle, and cartilaginous tissues that collectively facilitate functions such as eating, speaking, and breathing [1, 2]. TMJ alterations could lead to temporomandibular disorders (TMDs), a group of conditions that represent the second most prevalent musculoskeletal pain disorder after chronic lower back pain [3].
Frontiers | Redox phenotype confers T cell-exclusion microenvironment and resistance to immunotherapy by suppressing STING/MDA5 expression and interferon signaling in lung cancers harboring KEAP1/STK11 mutations
Introduction Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which constitutes the majority of lung cancer cases, continues to pose a significant challenge in oncology due to its aggressive nature and limited treatment options (1). The advent of immunotherapy has revolutionized cancer treatment, offering new hope for patients with advanced NSCLC (2–5).
