Montreal pop quartet TOPS graced SLO Brew Rock’s stage on November 16, 2021. The show, a stop on their “Party Again” tour, was a delightful and sunny affair perfect for a reopening world. Opener Sean Nicholas Savage started off the proceedings with a collection of ballads and torch songs. Savage is a gifted vocalist; his agile tenor rasp is capable of elevating sparse backgrounds of piano, strings and classical guitar into grand melodramas.

CalFresh Healthy Living is offering informational sessions on healthy choices through June 2. The Cal Poly club CalFresh Healthy Living aims to inform students on healthy eating, recipes and insights on discounted food locally, all provided by and for Cal Poly students. All sessions will take place in the Cal Poly Health Center in Room 11.

The Cal Poly College of Science and Mathematics (COSAM) will be renamed the Philip and Christina Bailey College of Science and Mathematics. On May 5, President Jeffrey Armstrong revealed the name change at the dedication of the new William and Linda Frost building, which opened for classroom instruction this quarter. “It’s an incredible honor and it particularly means a lot since I’ve been here so long,” Phil Bailey said in a college of science and math news article.
