What was your first job as a journalist?
Fresh out of University, I started writing a motoring newsletter for a local company.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Journalism for me is about providing context, personal insight and an element of connection with the reader.
Why did you become a journalist?
Because writing transports my mind mind to a place of creativity, fulfilment and wonder.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Find a topic that sets your heart on fire. Then just start writing! You'll suck at first, but eventually, you'll find your rhythm.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
We get so many incredible writer pitches at Ghouls Magazine that it's hard to choose!
