ABBOTTABAD: Female students swept the top positions in the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) annual examinations conducted by the Abbottabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), outperforming their male counterparts across both Science and Arts groups. The results, announced at a ceremony held at the board's auditorium, showed that a total of 145,044 candidates appeared in the Class IX and X examinations, of whom 104,171 passed.

ABBOTTABAD: Torrential monsoon rains lashed Abbottabad on Monday, once again exposing the chronic failure of the city's stormwater drainage system as several densely populated localities were inundated, disrupting traffic, commercial activities and electricity supply. Long queues of vehicles were witnessed on both sides of the Karakoram Highway passing through Abbottabad city as rainwater accumulated on roads, bringing traffic to a near standstill.

ABBOTTABAD: The Abbottabad District Bar Association has informed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government that the incumbent office-bearers of the Abbottabad Press Club had already secured an extension to their tenure and were reluctant to hold annual elections.
