I'm the owner and principal of Zuri Media & Consulting and ZMC Podcasts, where I develop podcasts and produce audio for individual content creators, brands, and nonprofits.
For the past 17 years, I have been a working journalist. I’ve served as a reporter, columnist, video producer, digital editor, multimedia editor, radio host, and audio editor.
My most recent experience includes serving as managing editor for two NPR member stations, the deputy managing editor for Boston’s second-largest newspaper, and as the digital editor for a TV news station.
My core areas of focus have been breaking news, social media strategy, video production, radio, newsletters, and special projects.
I penned an award-winning column for The Union (Grass Valley, Calif.) in 2008. I was part of the Pulitzer Prize-winning staff of the Boston Globe for coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings in the breaking news category in 2014. In 2020, I edited an award-winning audio piece on gender roles in wrestling.
