2 dead after canoeing incident in Marin County

(KRON) — Two people were pronounced dead after a canoeing incident Sunday in Marin County. According to the Marin County Fire Department, crews found the first person outside of Tomales Bay around 10:30 a.m. The second person was found shortly after a mile north of Hog Island, officials said. The pair was together on an overnight canoe excursion. The circumstances surrounding the deaths and what led to them are unknown at this time.

Lanes on Hwy 101 shut down in San Carlos after shooting

(KRON) — A shooting on Highway 101 in San Carlos caused lanes to be blocked on Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities responded to the shooting at around 5:01 p.m. on the northbound lanes near Holly Street. No serious injuries were reported. “The occupants of the victim vehicle were not struck by gunfire. One occupant sustained a minor injury to the hand during the incident,” CHP wrote in a statement to KRON4.

Jed York bodycam footage released in 49ers owner arrest

(KRON) — San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested over the weekend in Ohio. He was arrested after he was caught in a prostitution bust by a human trafficking task force, allegedly arranging to pay a woman $140 for sex, according to court records. Bodycam video of the arrest was released Wednesday, showing the encounter between York, 46, and authorities in Columbiana County.
