QUICK AND DIRTY: LIVE FROM TALLINN Saran (Erdenetsetseg Enkhbayar) lives with her loving partner Naran (Urtnasan Endenebayar) inside a sparsely furnished yurt. There is no sign of civilisation nearby, and no roads leading to their humble dwelling. The two young and beautiful women can only be reached by horse, in the world’s least densely populated country. They seek to enjoy a simple living, herding their animals and cooking for one another.

QUICK AND DIRTY: LIVE FROM TALLINN Out of all the film genres on offer to the world, comedy has a shout at being the most difficult to master. At the end of the day, comedy is subjective, but if it’s not doing its sole purpose of… you know, making people laugh, then it’s not successful, is it? Absurdist comedies though, now they push the boundaries of the genre by attempting to be humorous in a way that many people out there just don’t understand.

Credited only as “man” and “woman”, Giant’s Kettle follows these two people in their daily lives, from the rigours of work to the tedium of family life. Missing the bus at a factory stop, the man waits for a sign to guide him to his next step. Falling headfirst into a secret lecture, the woman is examined by a group of curious men.
