What does it mean to be a journalist?

I love finding out about fascinating new technologies and innovations, and this job provides a fantastic opportunity to do that.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email is usually best.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Feedly is one I can't live with out.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I don't think they had one, but I did write the gala reports for my swim team as a youngster.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Enjoy what you do.

The morning

Coffee

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Meeting people in a cafe, or out cycling.

I've been an avid reader of The Economist for over a decade now.
