Time Doesn’t Really Flow-Your Brain Just Makes You Think It Does
“Time flies,” “time waits for no one,” “as time goes on”: The way we speak about time tends to strongly imply that the passage of time is some sort of real process that happens out there in the world. We inhabit the present moment and move through time, even as events come and go, fading into the past. But go ahead and try to actually verbalize just what is meant by the flow or passage of time. A flow of what? Rivers flow because water is in motion. What does it mean to say that time flows?

What is time? Rather than something that ‘flows,’ a philosopher suggests time is a psychological projection
Human beings have been thinking about time for as long as we have records of humans thinking about anything at all. The concept of time inescapably permeates every single thought you have about yourself and the world around you. That’s why, as a philosopher, philosophical and scientific developments in our understanding of time have always seemed especially important to me.

Time and Change
Chapter: (p.8) Chapter 1 Time and ChangeSource: A Brief History of the Philosophy of TimePublisher: Oxford University Press DOI:10.1093/acprof:oso/9780199976454.003.0001 We measure weight with a scale, and temperature with a thermometer. When we measure time—say, with a clock—what is it that we measure? To some scholars in the ancient world, the answer was that what we call time is simply the measure of change.

Political Ideologies Predicts Science Denial in War Against COVID Vaccine
Vaccine refusal is a major reason COVID-19 infections have continued to surge in the U.S. Safe and effective vaccines have been available for months, but as of mid-September 2021, only were fully vaccinated. In many areas, a majority of eligible adults haven’t taken advantage of the opportunity to get vaccinated. In the U.S., polling on intent to get vaccinated shows a massive political divide.

U.S. Christians, especially evangelical Christians, identify as environmentalists at very low rates compared with the general population. According to a Pew Research Center poll from May 2020, while 62% of religiously unaffiliated U.S. adults agree that Earth is warming primarily because of human action, only 35% of U.S. Protestants do – including just 24% of white evangelical Protestants. Politically powerful Christian interest groups publicly dispute the climate science consensus.
