My LIV Golf 2024 commitments finish at the LIV Golf Chicago this week, followed by the LIV Golf Team Championship in Dallas – that will be 14 LIV Golf tournaments completed. It has been a whirlwind year of golf since I joined LIV Golf at the start of 2024.

Adrian Meronk: ‘The team dynamic is growing on me as I look forward to what’s ahead on LIV Golf’
I write this diary column as I get ready to fly from Dubai to Florida for the LIV Golf Miami event at Trump National, Doral in the US, which takes place third weekend. It is still only a few weeks since I joined LIV Golf but it has certainly been a whirlwind and an opportunity that came up a little out of the blue. I discussed it with my family, friends and my management team and it was one I could not refuse.
Adrian Meronk's Saudi Diary: ‘The LIV Golf scene is so different and I am embracing it’
It has been a while since my last diary piece and a lot has happened since. I have been so busy – both on and off the golf course and even bought property at Dubai Marina last week so Dubai remains my home – which is great news, as I love Dubai. I’m here in Saudi Arabia playing in the LIV Golf Jeddah, which is my third event of the year for the promotion, since I signed up. I am really enjoying my time and the way I have been welcomed by everyone at LIV Golf.
‘I had my chances, but finishing second to the World No. 1 has a nice ring to it,' says Meronk
Adrian Meronk of Poland plays a tee shots on the 16th hole. - AFP Published: Sun 21 Jan 2024, 7:44 PM I can look back at missed opportunities this week and shots left out there, but second place in a ROLEX Series event and only being beaten by the World Number 2 has a nice ring about it. It was a tense final day at the Emirates Golf Club’s demanding Majlis course as the last rounds at the HERO Dubai Desert Classic have come to be known for.
The Adrian Meronk Diary: I was pretty pleased with myself to be tied for second
After shooting a steady two-under-par 70 on Saturday I am energized for the fourth round at one of my favourite tournaments of the year - the HERO Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club. I am two behind third-round leader Cameron Young (US) which is not a bad place to be heading into the championship round. My tee time is at 12.30 pm and I will be playing alongside a former Dubai Desert Classic champion - Haotong Li (China) with the final group nine minutes behind us.
‘The golf course is no pushover but excellent putts was key to my strong scoring’
My feeling is I’m almost back with my all round game following my winter break. I shot a second round 66 today in the HERO Dubai Desert Classic which leaves me on ten under par after two rounds. Only Cameron Young (US) is ahead of us all, on 13 under and three ahead of us. But there is still plenty of golf left to play at the Majlis and anything can happened thanks to the this star-studded field in this $9 million Rolex Series event.
KT columnist and Dubai resident Meronk makes strong start to HERO Dubai Desert Classic

Published: Thu 18 Jan 2024, 10:22 PM I believe I have made a nice start to the tournament with an opening round of four-under 68. That leaves me currently in tied fifth, just one shot behind the quartet of leaders. Not bad at all for the first day in office at the Emirates Golf Club. I am writing this for Khaleej Times after doing five interviews following my finish this morning, which I take as a compliment.
‘I will remember this for the rest of my life’, says Meronk after receiving the 2023 Seve Ballesteros Award
It seemed like just another day of practice on the chipping green at Emirates Golf Club, alongside former Masters Champion Adam Scott, casually hitting balls with a group of photographers and a couple of other media heavyweights in attendance.
The Adrian Meronk Diary: Tied 10th at the finish of the Dubai Invitational – I will take that
Well, that was a good week for the start of my 2024 year. I shot a final round of 68, three under par to finish on 11 under par and in 10th place in the $2.5 million Dubai Invitational at Dubai Creek Resort. I have been in 10th place since Friday night. It feels like I have been there even longer. I did not make any moves at all up the leaderboard over the weekend – but equally, I did not move down. In this quality field, I will take confidence from this statistic.
The Adrian Meronk Diary: I enjoyed the relaxed vibe both on and off the course
With my playing partner for the day - Ahmed Kandil (right) - we managed a Team score of net 62 today.- Photo by Nick Tarratt Published: Sat 13 Jan 2024, 10:10 PM I had the steadiest of rounds today, a three under par 68 in round three of the $2.5 million Dubai Invitational at Dubai Creek Resort on the DP World Tour, essentially a boring day of scoring if you understand what I mean. My scorecard contained 15 pars and three birdies on holes 4, 10 and 18.
The Adrian Meronk Diary: 'I had a nice second round but the breeze provided a stiffer test'

I shot five birdies against one bogey for a 67 today, again in ideal conditions. But the freshening breeze provided a stiffer test. The 67 moved me up to tied 10th and I am five under par after 36 holes.
The Adrian Meronk Diary: ‘I was happy with my game, but I am eight behind Rory'
It may surprise Khaleej Times readers but I hardly know this week’s venue for the Dubai Invitational on the DP World Tour, the Dubai Creek Resort, very well despite being a Dubai resident. I have played it perhaps five or six times as we very rarely go to this part of Dubai. There is always plenty to do in where I live in Dubai Marina and the surrounding areas, the other end of the city.

A few ups and downs as always, but my final round of 71 for a 72 hole total of seven-under 281 to finish in tied 32nd in this week’s tournament, got me across the line. I had rounds of 68, 75, 67 and 71. The story of my on-course statistics for the week, were 47 pars, 13 birdies, two eagles and 10 bogeys.

After any poor round, there is no room for feeling sorry for yourself – just get back out there.
The DP World Tour Championship Diary: ‘Far worse things in life than a bad day on the golf course,’ says Meronk
Not the day I had hoped for in round two of the DP World Tour Championship on the DP World Tour at JGE. We all woke up to an early morning alarm call of thunder and lightning. The tee times were adjusted with the first tee time at 11.00 am off two tees and me teeing off at 12.30 pm off tee one with Antoine Rozner. Antoine shot an impressive 67 to finish near the top of the leaderboard – but it sadly did not rub off on me.

Rory McIlroy holds his nerve with birdie amid farcical scenes at Wentworth
With the 18th green predominantly illuminated by the light from a giant scoreboard, Mcllroy two-putted from 45 feet for birdie to finish on the projected cut mark of one under par. The four-time major will have to wait until the second round is completed on Saturday morning to learn his fate, while playing partner Ludvig Aberg continued his brilliant form by sharing the lead with fellow Swede Sebastian Soderberg on 10 under. Asked to describe the late-night drama, McIlroy said: “It was a s***show.
Nothing I can do now – Adrian Meronk impresses at Wentworth after Ryder Cup snub
Former winner Tyrrell Hatton was the best-placed of the Ryder Cup dozen in the early wave on seven under, with Jon Rahm and Matt Fitzpatrick both a shot further back. Meronk said last week he was “shocked, sad and angry” not to receive a pick from Europe captain Luke Donald, especially after winning his third DP World Tour title in the space of 10 months in May’s Italian Open at the Ryder Cup venue on the outskirts of Rome. “I have accepted it,” the 30-year-old Pole said at Wentworth.
What should PGA Tour's future designated fields look like? Here's a suggestion
As the PGA Tour works to improve its product, the 2022-23 season is serving as, in Tiger Woods' own words, a "big transition year." One noteworthy change, the designation of 13 elevated – or designated – events with $20 million average purses to run alongside the majors, has already been implemented on the fly. In order for a player to receive his full Player Impact Program bonus this season, should he earn one, he is required to play in all but one of the designated events.

Twenty-three of the world’s top 25 golfers have teed it up at Tiger’s event, including Big Cat himself, in his first Tour event since the 2022 Open Championship at St. Andrews last July. Max Homa opened with a 7-under 64 to lead while Jon Rahm looms one back.

Meronk first Polish winner on European tour with Irish win - TSN.ca
THOMASTOWN, Ireland (AP) — Adrian Meronk became Poland's first winner on the European tour Sunday with a superb closing stretch at Mount Juliet for a 6-under 66 and a three-shot victory in the Irish Open. Meronk was one shot behind Ryan Fox of New Zealand with four holes remaining when he went birdie-birdie-eagle to give himself room for error on the tough closing hole. He made par and walked off the 18th green soaked in a champagne celebration. “It's such a relief,” Meronk said.
