Enosburg Falls voters choose to keep new ATV ordinance; ATVs allowed on some roads effective immediately

ENOSBURG FALLS – A packed room of Enosburg Falls village voters erupted into cheers and applause Thursday night when the vote results for the newly-established ATV ordinance were read off. The vote — 69 yes to 31 no — shot down a petition attempt to get rid of the ordinance. The voter-approved ordinance went into effect immediately following the election results. ATVs and side-by-sides are now allowed on some village roads.

Plant manager to continue cheese production in Enosburg Falls under name Franklin County Cheese

ENOSBURG FALLS — Cheese production will stick around in Enosburg Falls thanks to John Ovitt taking matters into his own hands. Franklin Foods, longtime cream cheese manufacturer, will close at the end of July, but Ovitt, the plant manager, is stepping up to take over the space. Ovitt acquired the building from Franklin Food’s German parent company, Hochland Group, after it decided to bow out of the American market last year.
