Method details Cell culture Human lung cancer cell line, A549 (p53 wildtype; p16 deleted), was grown in Dulbeccco’s modified medium (DMEM). Human liver cancer cell line, HepG2 (p53 wildtype; p16 wildtype), was grown in DMEM: F12 medium. Human esophageal squamous cell carcinoma cell line, TE4 (p53 mutant), was grown in RPMI 1640 medium. Lewis lung carcinoma cells (LLC; mutant KRAS) were grown in ATCC-formulated DMEM. All the above cell lines were purchased from ATCC.
