The U.S. unexpectedly shed 92,000 jobs last month, the second-largest monthly decline since the Covid-19 pandemic and a fresh warning that the labor market continues to struggle after limping through 2025. Though unemployment remains relatively low, jobs are declining in most sectors, including strike-fueled losses in healthcare.
