I'm a breaking news anchor and reporter at WKRN News 2 in Nashville, Tennessee. I strive to locate breaking news and present it on-air and bring that content straight to our viewers on social media. I also report on an array of special projects and enterprise stories.

Prior to this, I was a morning show anchor and reporter at WCIA 3 News in Champaign, IL. I created the content all content for the 9AM/12PM hours. The morning show is the top morning newscast in that market.

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) — Beth Heidorn and Abby Flores of the Racine Zoo joined us in studio to highlight the final Animal Crackers Concert of the season and several other upcoming events. The final Animal Crackers Concert will take place Wednesday, Aug. 19, featuring saxophonist and singer Grace Kelly. The zoo will also host its 30th annual Car, Truck and Bike Show on Sunday, Aug. 16. Another upcoming event is World Roar Wine Pour Wednesday on Sept.

What was your first job as a journalist?

After graduating from Illinois State University, my first job as a journalist was being a Woman's Show Host at WCIA 3 News in Champaign, IL.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I used to type out news stories on a typewriter as a kid, I guess that was early practice.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is news. Without it, we would not get alerted to things as quickly as we do.
