Kings Island's Halloween Haunt. Contributed Six Flags, the owners of Kings Island and Cedar Point, have begun teasing the Halloween offerings coming to its slate of parks this year. Kelly Daugherty, the chain’s director of entertainment, appeared in a social media video to reveal “Summer is not What it Screams,” a new series which will reveal information about each of the park’s upcoming Halloween events. Episodes are set to release every Friday on social media.

Dayton Art Institute to highlight local breweries with its Collab Fest event

Known as Collab Fest, this celebration is currently scheduled for noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. Nearly all of the drinks on offer will be created exclusively for Collab Fest.

Dutch Bros Coffee now open on Brown Street

Dutch Bros Coffee locations are opening across the Dayton area. CONTRIBUTED As part of its rapid expansion into the Dayton area, the new Dutch Bros Coffee location is now open on Brown Street near the University of Dayton Campus. The shop is located at 1141 Brown St., in the spot where a UD storage facility once sat. It is open 5 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday as well as 5 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
