The 2025 most popular baby names in Texas are out, but they shouldn't come as much of a surprise if you’ve been paying attention for the past decade. 2025 marked the eighth year that Liam is the state's most popular boy's name. For girls, Emma won out over 2024's top name, Olivia, but the two names have been #1 and #2 in the state since 2014. “Regional name trends tell stories about demographics,” said Sophie Kihm, a baby name expert and editor-in-chief of Namesberry.
