NHS Cheshire and Merseyside urge those eligible to book a flu jab ahead of winter
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is urging eligible people across the region to book their flu jab, as preparations for winter begin earlier than ever. The national booking system opened this week allowing eligible people, including pregnant women and children, to pre-book their flu vaccinations ahead of the programme starting on 1 September. The NHS is taking action early to ease winter demand on healthcare services after back-to-back heatwaves have seen staff treat record numbers this summer.

Sefton Local Quality Contract Phase 11 The completion of the Local Quality Contract (LQC) Phase 11 evaluation provides clear evidence of the difference that primary care continues to make for local people across Sefton. The aim of the LQC is to invest in the capacity needed to deliver a consistently higher standard of care in general practice, and deliver schemes which result in quality improvements, efficiencies in spend elsewhere in the health economy, and sustainability of general practice.
