New charter school system OK’d for parts of Riverside County

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... A new countywide charter school system has been approved for Riverside County. Altus Schools Riverside County will serve sixth through 12th graders with learning and resource centers in seven school districts: the Alvord, Desert Sands, Jurupa, Menifee Union, Moreno Valley, Perris Elementary and Perris Union school districts. The Riverside County school board on Wednesday, June 3, approved the school, 6-1. Board member Elizabeth Romero voted no.
