Citing legal concerns, the Redlands school board delayed a vote on a parent notification policy that would require schools to inform parents if their child changes any part of their student record, including their name or gender. The board voted 3-2 to pull the parental notification proposal off the agenda for its Tuesday night, Aug. 11, meeting. Board President Michele Rendler voted yes, as did Melissa Ayala-Quintero and Patty Holohan. Candy Olson and Jeanette Wilson voted no.
