I probably submitted around 100 applications and only heard back from two. Yep, two. Only a small fraction of roles — just 3.7% — are open to those with 0–2 years of experience. Abstract Purpose: Adaptive Optics Scanning Light Ophthalmoscopy (AOSLO) paired with intravitreal injection of a viral vector coding for the calcium indicator GCaMP has enabled visualization of neuronal activity in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) at single cell resolution in the living eye. However, the inner limiting membrane (ILM) restricts viral transduction to the fovea in humans and non-human primates (NHP), hindering both therapeutic intervention and physiological study of the retina.

What was your first job as a journalist?

I freelanced here and there for a few years. I would wax poetic on my Tumblr and Huff Po picked up a piece. After that, I was hooked.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. I spent a lot of time at my local public library growing up. I am sure I have a piece or two produced via typewriter.

How is social media changing news?

There is an overwhelming amount of information and it's easier for people to stay in their bubbles, despite hyper-connectivity.
