Dagenhart, invalidating a law meant “to prevent interstate commerce in the products of child labor.” The case was overturned 23 years later, when the court upheld the Fair Labor Standards Act. At the Court Tuesday night, the Supreme Court cleared the way for Alabama to use a congressional map in the 2026 elections that lower courts found to be racially discriminatory.
