Kay Overhauls Website and Stores Under New “Love All In” Platform
With its new “Love All In” campaign, Signet Jewelers is rebranding Kay as jewelry for everyday expressions of love, using smaller moments of connection to build demand, says Kay president Julie Yoakum. Starting this week, consumers will see “Love All In” across Kay’s website, advertising, social media, and creator content, Yoakum says. This “major evolution” will continue into Kay stores and its packaging in 2027.
Britt’s Pick: The Endear By S Follow Your Heart Necklace
Not to be too on the nose, but the first word that came to mind when I saw this necklace was endearing. It’s the centerpiece of the debut collection from Muscat, Oman–based brand Endear by S, called Follow Your Heart, and is a jewel that feels both timeless and of the moment. Designed to trace the décolletage, it doesn’t just frame the neckline—it becomes part of it, its undulating form creating an elegant line that’s as sculptural as it is romantic.
Meta Is Reportedly Testing An AI Pendant
Maybe this won’t be the kind of pendant that makes the hot trends lists. Or, perhaps, it will be. Consider the opportunities for jewelry designers to capitalize on Meta’s potentially successful wearable artificial intelligence (AI) pendant—jewelers have done the same with the Apple Watch, as well as the Oura ring. The operative word here is potential.
Henri Noël's Bamboo Bezel Blends Past and Future
Heirloom jewelry comes in any number of different motifs, but one in particular, effortlessly luxurious bamboo, inspired the newest collection from Naples, Fla.–based brand Henri Noël. Designed in collaboration with fashion personalities Alexandra and Rebecca Sisto, the Bamboo Bezel collection draws on Florida roots—shared by the brand and the sisters—channeling a crisp, coastal sensibility with a hint of vintage charm.
Pantone’s 2026 Color of the Year Is Kind of Blank
The Pantone Color Institute’s 2026 Color of the Year is not really a color at all. The self-described “color authority” has selected Cloud Dancer (11-4201), calling it “a symbol of calming influence in a frenetic society rediscovering the value of measured consideration and quiet reflection.” This is the first time Pantone has chosen a white in the 26 years it’s been making these annual picks. It’s also a stark change from last year’s dark-hued Mocha Mousse.
Gem Gossip's Danielle Miele on the Keys to Her Success
As she celebrates the 17th year of her blog Gem Gossip, Danielle Miele is reflecting on the risks, moves, and life changes that led to the start and growth of her blog, which has now become a jewelry brand. For her latest project—a selection of key charms—Miele is doing one of her favorite things as a jewelry blogger, collaborating with designers. The collection stems from Miele’s personal obsession with keys; a charm necklace that holds 40 different key pendants is her prized possession.

What’s BIMI in Email and How to Set it Up
Ever wondered how to get your logo to show up in the inbox just like all the big brands you love? BIMI is the answer, and it just got easier for more email senders to use it. While BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification)is an email specification for increasing inbox security and brand trust, there’s a nifty bonus that comes along with its implementation: it helps your messages to stand out in the inbox.

Mother-of-Pearl Shimmers for Summer
Something about mother-of-pearl reminds me of summertime, and it seems I have company in searching for a bit of its iridescence for my warm-weather jewelry selections. “Mother-of-pearl” has been a top keyword search on eBay for months now, Mari Corella, eBay’s general manager for global luxury and sneakers, told me in an email interview. In June, eBay users searched for “mother-of-pearl” more than 3.5 times a minute on average, she says. “It is clear eBay shoppers are dreaming of an Amalfi summer.
Monica Rich Kosann Is Feeling Fables & Fairy Tales
Fairies and fairy tales rank right up there with rabbits and Easter candy when it comes to Things I Love. (Another year without Russell Stover jelly beans? Really? They’re officially the Kate Middleton of sweets!) And that’s precisely why I am so enchanted (ha) by Monica Rich Kosann’s latest collection, which is focused on imagery plucked from fairy tales and fables.

Buccellati’s New Collection Is Winter Weekend Ready
Not a jewel in sight. Instead, Buccellati gives us “jewelry” for the table and bar, all of it conjuring images of a winter weekend in the heart of the Italian Alps. The inspiration for Cervino—cutlery, serving utensils and accessories—is Monte Cervino, Italy’s third highest peak. The mountain, with its perfect pyramid shape, is perhaps better known by another moniker, the Matterhorn, and more commonly associated with the Zermatt ski resort in Switzerland.

First there was Coastal Grandmother. Then there was Tomato Girl. The latest look to become a runaway TikTok trend is…the “Mob wife aesthetic.” If that name doesn’t conjure a visual for you, this thoughtful Harper’s Bazaar article, published just two days ago, offers a pretty thorough explainer. The word “mature” comes up in the writer’s estimation of the Mob wife aesthetic. Our muse is also confident in her sexuality. She favors black leather, vintage fur, and animal prints.

How Investing in Permanent Jewelry Saved This E-Commerce Brand
For Modern Merrigold founder Mary Wood, permanent jewelry is more than a fashion trend—it’s what kept her jewelry company going during “the roughest year I’ve ever had as a business owner,” she says. Wood says that since she added permanent jewelry as a local service—at pop-ups, special events, and in-store collaborations with retailers—in 2022, it has exploded awareness of her company.
JCK’s 10 Most-Listened-to Podcasts of 2023
It was a milestone year for The Jewelry District, as JCK’s podcast celebrated its 100th episode in July. 10 Ways to Manifest Self-Care With Your Jewelry in 2024
Moss agate for peace and calm. Volcanic silica for protection. Malachite to promote balance and sure footing. I never envisioned myself as the type of person who purchases worry stones as holiday gifts, but with all the chaos in the world at present, these were my choices for some key family members. Jewelry fans can adapt the concept behind worry stones to some form of adornment—why settle for a palm-size piece of lapis when you could be wearing the stone around your neck?
Why Curious (and Conscientious) Designers Are Going Straight to the Source
If you spend any amount of time on Instagram, you might notice that a lot of jewelry designers have traveled to Africa and South America in order to trace their gemstones and gold all the way to the source. What drew them to such far-flung destinations? What did they learn there? And what do they plan to do with the knowledge they’ve accrued? We put these questions and more to a cohort of globetrotting designers recently returned from abroad.
My Favorite Jewelry Trends of 2023
Quiet luxury—you’ve heard the term ad nauseam in the past year. It is, without question, the headlining trend of 2023. It’s a style I really love because it’s so easily accessible (despite its origins with the ultrarich). Zeitgeisty as it is, this concept isn’t new—we’ve been inundated with the notion of buying fewer, better things for years now, in an effort to limit waste. And that’s what quiet luxury is about for the average consumer: purchasing items that will last, both in quality and style.
Why Jewelers Are Speaking Up and Speaking Out
Publicly taking a stand on social issues might alienate customers who don’t share your views. But some retailers and designers say it’s worth the risk. You’re tuned into the culture. You read the headlines.

Tacori’s Crescent, a Bridal Style Icon, Turns 25
The Crescent, hero design signature of the family-owned and operated bridal jewelry brand Tacori, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. This interests me for a couple reasons. One is that I am fascinated by jewelry history, even fairly recent history. I always want to unpack how a single object or motif can make a brand a legend, or an enduring exemplar of commercial success.

Russia Says Kimberley Process Being “Politicized”
As G7 nations continue to develop their plans for sanctions on Russian polished diamonds, Russia’s deputy finance minister Alexey Moiseev released a statement warning that any measures targeting the country’s gems could politicize the Kimberley Process certification scheme. “The discriminative measures of the G7, if implemented, will essentially take the form of a structure parallel to the KP,” Moiseev said in a letter to Kimberley Process chair Zhemu Soda of Zimbabwe.

Yes, the holiday season is in full swing, ready or not.
How We Got Here: Lily and Jenny Monbouquette Pushed Each Other to Dream Bigger
Wrong job, wrong time. Both Jenny Monbouquette and her daughter Lily made moves in their careers that seemed like failures at the time but in hindsight proved essential to their development as a jewelry power team. For mom Jenny, the gig that wasn’t quite right was working in Los Angeles art galleries as a front-desk “gallerina,” as she puts it. Later on, for daughter Lily, it was a job in New York as a merchandiser for a lifestyle and clothing company.

Create Campaigns That Make Jewelry Irresistible To Consumers
If you’re not in the habit of regularly creating campaign photography to promote your jewelry collections, you’re missing out on a chance to connect with your customers.
