Interview

Have you ever used a typewriter?

yep, all my assignments were typed at least until my 2nd year in Uni.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

customised cms vary from site to site, but for text I use pages. i do carry a plain ol white notebook around though.

Why did you become a journalist?

I genuinely have no idea. one day about ten years ago I woke up and I just needed to write. I haven't stopped since.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

most recently, a piece on Jacqueline Susann, who is also one of my absolute favourite writers.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

know why you write. what drives you, is it something that you desperately need to say? because that's where honesty comes from.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

wandering around the streets of Paris looking for another record shop.
