Social media is now the driver of news. If you're in the game, you have to be on all platforms now to extend the audience reach.

Why did you become a journalist?

I have loved writing ever since I was a kid. Telling stories is second nature to me. Being able to share others stories is very fulfilling.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

It's not going to be easy. You have to know you love it to be able to stick with it.
