Police say the owner of an in-home daycare is facing charges for allegedly assaulting and abusing toddlers in her care.

SUNRISE, Fla. (WPLG) - A mystery surrounding hundreds of missing cinnamon rolls worth about $3,000 has apparently been solved. Julie Pierre, the owner of Roll and Dough Bakery in Sunrise, Florida, initially believed an Uber courier had stolen 300 cinnamon rolls she was sending to a farmers market. Her story went viral on social media after she reported the rolls missing last Saturday. But it turns out the courier never took off with the order – he was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol.

KEITHVILLE, La. — Firefighters were called just after 2 p.m. Saturday, August 29 to Adams Road in Keithville, Louisiana. Crews arrived to find a large barn on fire and flames running through a dry pasture, threatening several nearby buildings that housed farm animals. Firefighters from Districts 4, 3 and 6 went to work stopping the spread and keeping the fire from reaching those structures and animals. It took nearly an hour to bring the blaze under control. No injuries were reported.
