A highlight for many from the Shannons Unveils at Meguiar’s MotorEx was Brett Fletcher’s WILD K HK GTS Monaro. When the car met the wall at Powercruise a few years back, Brett saw it as an opportunity to step things up a bit, engaging the team at ProFlo Performance to re-do the rear end and tub the car for wider rubber. The problem was, they did such a neat job that the rest of the car suddenly looked a little bit average, and so began a ground-up rebuild.

The 2026 Superstars competition was red hot and the Super Six is at another level, with the likes of Shane Rowe’s ’32 roadster sitting on the outside. Matthew Ellard’s highly-innovative Celica took the Grand Master gong, but there is no doubt about points being tight. Rob Fekete’s F100 was a popular winner of the Laurie Starling Award.

As Australia’s most prestigious indoor car show, Meguiar’s MotorEx attracts the cream of the crop when it comes to no-holds-barred, mirrors-on-the-ground type showcars. Within that, the Superstars hall is where you’ll find the elite few cars which have qualified at feeder events throughout the preceding year. The MotorEx Grand Master is the car which judges best of all the Superstars qualifiers, so when we say that the Grand Master is the best of the best of the best, that’s exactly what we mean.
