'Unstoppable' Skipperettes compete at state for first time in 21 years

For the first time in 21 years, the Minnetonka Skipperettes returned to the state tournament floor, dancing at Target Center on Feb. 13 with a jazz routine years in the making. Although the competition dance team wasn’t one of the top six teams to move on to the finals in the Class AAA jazz tournament, head coach Megan Roe knew going into the competition that it would be tough. Brainerd won the jazz state title in Class AAA with Eastview in second and Maple Grove as the runner up.
