KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WIBW) – One day after voters legalized recreational marijuana in Missouri, a hospitality group announced a new entertainment district project in the Kansas City metro area that will include spaces to freely smoke cannabis. Besa Hospitality Group, out of Gladstone, Mo., announced on Wednesday, Nov. 9, that those who live in the KC Metro area and central Midwest will soon welcome a new entertainment district along the Missouri River.

Testing shows guardrails can’t stand up to electric vehicles

The smallest error in assembling a guardrail could result in a death during a crash. When they’re installed properly, studies show guardrails can help reduce injuries and crashes.

Lawsuit settlement leads to change in one city's 911 communications center

(InvestigateTV) — A lawsuit over a mishandled 911 call has led to a multi-million dollar settlement for a Kansas City area man, but he says even more importantly, he hopes it will lead to change. Cathryn McClelland was 41 years old when she collapsed in her Prairie Village home five years ago. She was home alone with her two young children. Her 8-year-old son called 911 for help. The call was made on a cell phone, so it should have gone to the Prairie Village Police Department.
