Comprehensive clinical cancer analysis of homologous recombination deficiency biomarkers in an academic molecular profiling program
Abstract PARP inhibitors (PARPi) are effective in tumors with homologous recombination repair (HRR) deficiency (HRD), typically identified by germline/tumor mutations. However, genetic testing may miss intrinsic PARPi sensitivity and resistance. We evaluated strategies to improve detection and longitudinal monitoring of HRD across >500 tumor samples and >20 paired liquid biopsies, integrating genetic, genomic, and functional readouts.

Spinal magnetic resonance imaging in cats: differences in clinical significance of intervertebral disk extrusion, intervertebral disk protrusion, and degenerative lumbosacral stenosis
Keywords: degenerative lumbosacral stenosis; feline myelopathy; intervertebral disk degeneration; intervertebral disk herniation; spondylosis deformans Introduction Intervertebral disk herniation (IVDH) is a condition seen in 0.12% to 0.44% of cats1–4 presenting to referral centers.1,3,5–7 In contrast, a prevalence of 3.5% has been estimated in dogs.8 Many types of IVDH have been described in cats, including both compressive and noncompressive, but there is conflicting evidence regarding...
The value of a head turn in neurolocalization
CT computed tomography MI midbrain MO medulla oblongata MPMO midbrain pons, and medulla oblongata MRI magnetic resonance imaging 1 INTRODUCTION Head turn and pleurothotonus have been 2 interchangeable terms that are used frequently to describe postural abnormalities as part of a neurological examination of cats and dogs.

Highlights • ctDNA as prognostic / predictive biomarker in early breast cancer is controversial. • We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to elucidate this question. • ctDNA (baseline and after neoadjuvant therapy) related to worse survival. • ctDNA status at baseline was not predictive of pCR. • These results may help to tailor neoadjuvant treatment in early breast cancer. Abstract Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is increasingly being used as a biomarker in early breast cancer (EBC).

Clinical features, diagnosis, and survival analysis of dogs with glioma
Abstract Background Gliomas in dogs remain poorly understood. Objectives To characterize the clinicopathologic findings, diagnostic imaging features and survival of a large sample of dogs with glioma using the Comparative Brain Tumor Consortium diagnostic classification. Animals Ninety-one dogs with histopathological diagnosis of glioma. Methods Multicentric retrospective case series. Signalment, clinicopathologic findings, diagnostic imaging characteristics, treatment, and outcome were used.
Cerebrospinal fluid analysis in dogs: Main patterns and prevalence of albuminocytological dissociation
Abstract Background: Albuminocytological dissociation (ACD) of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is defined as an increased total protein concentration with normal total nucleated cell count. It is suspected to occur in diseases that alter the blood‐brain barrier, increase the production of protein or obstruct the flow of CSF.
