There were a lot of moments in Fort Myers where I didn’t really think that I could keep going. This is after eight days of 18-hour days. I would sit in a car for 5, 10 minutes and get off my feet, and just try to compose myself and reset.

What was your first job as a journalist?

I worked as literary editor at my college magazine.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

We had a very in my house when I was growing up. My parents never get rid of anything.

How is social media changing news?

It's certainly making it quicker to find sources, but also easy to disseminate more misinformation. Gotta be careful.
