Chinese electrolyser maker Jiang Guofu Hydrogen Energy Technology & Equipment (Guofuhee) will begin manufacturing its hydrogen production equipment in Germany through a joint venture with a local EPC firm. The newcomer also intends to build, own, and operate its own hydrogen plants. RCT Hydrogen, 51% owned by Germany’s RCT Group and 49% owned by Guofuhee, said it would begin preparing a 250MW electrolyser plant in eastern Germany, with plans to deliver its first 2.5MW system in Q1 2026.

KBR wins engineering and technology role for Ignis’ green ammonia project in Spain

Ignis has awarded KBR a technology and engineering contract to build a 200,000-tonne-per-year hydrogen-based ammonia plant in Spain. Located in A Coruña, the facility will use renewable electricity to produce green hydrogen, which will be converted into green ammonia. As the technology provider and engineering contractor, the US-based firm will undertake early design work for Ignis to prove the project is technically and economically viable.

Itochu to help drive market demand for NH3’s Australian ammonia project

Itochu Corporation has agreed to help NH3 Clean Energy build market demand for its Australian hydrogen-based ammonia project, WAH2. Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), the Japanese conglomerate will work to identify shipping customers, ports and routes that can generate demand for the project at the Port of Dampier.
