BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Reece Gilpatrick is only 15 years old, but she’s already performing on a stage few athletes reach at any point in their careers. The Broomfield High School sophomore has collected more than 20 Division I scholarship offers and spent part of her summer representing the United States, helping Team USA win gold at the FIBA U16 level. For those closest to her, the rapid rise hasn’t come as a surprise.

LAFAYETTE, Colo. — The mats at Centaurus High School have seen their share of elite wrestling over the years, but this weekend’s 28th annual Top of the Rockies Wrestling Tournament once again proved why it’s considered one of the most prestigious events in Colorado. The Warriors’ home gym welcomed 44 schools from multiple states, bringing together programs from Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, Montana and Florida for a tournament that cuts across classifications and reputation.
