Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a debilitating psychiatric condition with high treatment resistance, highlighting the need for new therapeutic targets. Glutaminase (GLS1), upregulated in activated microglia, has been implicated in MDD’s pathophysiology. This study evaluates dendrimer-based GLS1 inhibitors, D-TTM020 and D-JHU29, designed to selectively target microglial GLS1, in a Chronic Social Defeat Stress (CSDS) mouse model.
