Hundreds of Houstonians braced frigid temperatures Monday as they celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day in downtown. This year, and for the past 30 years, Houston has had two MLK Day parades, along with various other celebrations held throughout the city in honor of King's legacy: the Annual "Original" Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, held downtown beginning at 10 a.m., and the MLK Grande Parade, held in Midtown at the same time.
