Jun. 22—Two Anchorage Assembly members have called on George Martinez to resign from the body, saying that his alleged misuse of campaign funds has caused a "loss of public trust." In a prepared statement Monday, Chugiak-Eagle River representatives Donald Handeland and Jared Goecker said Martinez, who just started his second term and represents East Anchorage, should resign from the Assembly.
