Have you ever used a typewriter?
I actually have a few times! A classmate restored a type wrier and I got to live my journalist fantasy.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Coffee keeps me running! Anything with caffeine will make me happy.

Dave Jorgenson, the TikTok manager for the Washington Post. He has revolutionized the role of news in social media and he's hilarious!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Any chance to speak to women in the literary or music industry inspires and exhilarates me! Features are such a joy to write.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write, write and write some more. Take care with your work and don't be afraid to be rejected!
What's your favorite drink?
Half of the stories I've written would not be possible without coffee. I owe my life to caffeine!
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I am a life long fan of the big three of newspapers, but I really have been loving The Atlantic recently. Trend stories, features, politics!
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it's fluff and easy. Features lift important voices and uncover incredibly important stories.
