TUPPER LAKE, N.Y. (ABC22/FOX44) – Construction on 80 new apartments in Tupper Lake has begun. According to Governor Kathy Hochul’s office, $46 million in state dollars will help transform the former Oval Wood Dish Factory in Tupper Lake into affordable housing – a development that will include more than 25,000 square feet of commercial space along with a fitness center, playground, and other amenities. The development will include all-electric heating and cooling.

Canadian man arrested at US border on Illinois warrant

CANAAN, Vt. ( ABC22/FOX44 ) - A man was arrested at the Canaan, Vermont port of entry on Sunday afternoon after Border Patrol reportedly found he was wanted on multiple warrants related to crimes against children. According to Vermont State Police, David Zouzout, 40, was arrested some time before 3:43 p.m. while trying to cross into the U.S. Zouzout was reportedly wanted on five counts on a warrant out of Edwardsville, Illinois.
