There was a game I used to play on the boring walk home from school when I was a child. I would pick a small stone of a suitable size and, like dribbling a ball, nudge it along with my foot as I walked. In my head I imagined a soccer player skillfully dribbling the ball. When I was with a friend who lived close by, the two of us would take turns passing the little stone back and forth as we walked. In those moments, the stone was our soccer ball.
