Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Mary Jo White said Wednesday the agency needs to continuously adjust disclosure requirements to aid investors. “The Commission should be regularly recalibrating and updating its suite of disclosure requirements to adapt to continual changes in the marketplace. What is effective today may not be effective tomorrow,” White said. She added the SEC should be making small adjustments to rules as well as large ones.

As it should be, social media and technology can be an intimidating territory for educators. Currently, 80% of teachers use social media venues for personal or professional reasons. All of us are held to a high standard online, however, for educators, those standards are even greater. For those who do not work in education, it can be a hard idea to grasp, as technology has changed the world in countless ways.

The Modi government has reason to cheer. A World Bank report on ease of doing business has ranked India at 130 out of the 189 countries it surveys. It’s good news when you consider that the last report had ranked India at 142 (downgraded from 134 when it received additional data). Even better news when you consider that the 142 ranking was based on data until June 2014 (almost entirely under the UPA’s rule).
