Teenage Boots shoplifter spared jail after stealing £100,000 of goods from pharmacies

Bill Bowkett A teenage boy escaped a custodial sentence yesterday after admitting to a prolific shoplifting campaign, in which he netted more than £100,000 in stolen goods from Boots. The 17-year-old had previously entered guilty pleas to 15 theft charges at Highbury Corner Youth Court in London. Eleven of those offences involved goods valued at £59,280.07 taken from Boots pharmacies.
