Billy Joe Watson passed from this life at the age of 94 on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Warren, Arkansas. Born in Bradley County, Arkansas on February 18, 1932, to the late Sam and Idema Whittington Watson, Corporal Billy Joe Watson was the third out of four children. Billy Joe is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Cleo Jones Watson, brother Gene Watson, sisters Margie Odom and Neoma Harvey, his nephews Phillip Swofford, Harold Swofford, and Robert Odom, and his niece Reba Parker.

Lifeboats News Release Local business VT Wealth, the new main sponsor of Fraserburgh FC, has donated a trophy to be presented to the winner of the forthcoming Fraserburgh FC v Celtic football match in aid of Fraserburgh RNLI. Last season’s treble winners kick off their season against the Highland League team at the 1800 capacity Bellslea Park in the north east town on Saturday 1 July in a match which will raise funds for Fraserburgh RNLI Lifeboat Station.

What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job as a journalist was a remote sports writer for a small weekly paper in my hometown. I didn’t get paid for it.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No, but I’d like to own one just to have as a prized piece around the house or office.

How is social media changing news?

Social media is huge. Instead of fouls, people tend to go to Twitter or Facebook to get their news.
