Hydroxyl Radical-Driven Methanogenesis in Sunlit Surface Waters Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Methane (CH4) production is commonly associated with anaerobic microbial respiration, yet substantial CH4 production has been observed in aerobic surface waters, presenting the “aerobic methane paradox”. Clarifying the mechanism behind aerobic CH4 production is essential for refining the global CH4 budget.
Development and validation of a predictive model for short-term symptom relief after organophosphate poisoning
Abstract Background: Acute organophosphate (OP) poisoning outcomes vary significantly despite standard atropine/pralidoxime (PAM) therapy. Early identification of patients likely to improve rapidly could optimize resource allocation and individualized care. Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 138 adult acute OP poisoning cases (2018–2023). Patients were randomly split into training (n = 96) and validation (n = 42) cohorts.
Visualizing Microbial Indirect Extracellular Electron Transfer Click to copy article link Article link copied!
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Indirect extracellular electron transfer (IEET) mediated by soluble electron shuttles is a critical pathway for anaerobic microbial respiration, influencing redox transformations and element cycling in natural environments. However, direct spatial visualization of the electron transfer extent has remained limited.

Design Strategy of Electricity Purchase and Sale Combination Package Based on the Characteristics of Electricity Prosumers in Power System
1. Introduction The swift development of new electricity systems has spurred reforms on the electricity sales side, and electricity pricing has gradually evolved from uniform formulation to market competition mode [1]. In this context, many electricity retailers have been rapidly established and developed, and the market transaction mode has gradually shown a diversified and distributed pattern [2].
Predicting Parotid Dose Changes in Head-and-Neck Radiotherapy Using Machine Learning Leveraging Anatomical Variations
Predicting Parotid Dose Changes in Head-and-Neck Radiotherapy Using Machine Learning: Leveraging Anatomical Variations () 1. Introduction Clinically significant changes in patients’ anatomy during fractionated radiotherapy, e.g., body shrinkage due to weight loss or target/organ shape and position variations, cause the actual dose delivered to patients to varying considerably different from the originally planned.
Chemosensation drives divergent social behavior in Drosophila
Abstract The social environment can have a considerable impact on animal behavior. However, the molecular signals that drive socially sensitive behaviors are not completely defined. Using the model organism, Drosophila melanogaster, we investigated behavioral responses to housing status. Group housing of male flies induces robust social interactions, composed of chasing and touching in the Dahomey strain, but not in other commonly used parental lines.

A Lysosome-Targeted Fluorescent Probe Based on BODIPY Structure for Cys/Hcy Detection
A Lysosome-Targeted Fluorescent Probe Based on BODIPY Structure for Cys/Hcy Detection Cysteine (Cys) and Homocysteine (Hcy) are important biothiols in living organisms. They play important roles in a variety of physiological and pathological processes. Therefore, it is very important to design an optical probe for selective detection of Cys/Hcy.

Enhanced ES-adRNNe Load Forecasting With Contextual Augmentation on Similar Load Days
In this section, the proposed GCES-adRNNe model is analyzed through a series of ablation experiments. The experimental settings are presented in Table 2. Ab1: The performance of ES-adRNNe was achieved with a MAPE of 2.13 and an RMSE of 288.17. It utilized the main orbitals but did not incorporate additional inputs from contextual orbitals. Ab2: A performance improvement was observed in cES-adRNNe, with a MAPE of 1.96 and an RMSE of 270.
Day-Ahead Electricity Price Forecasting Based on GCM Filtering and Higher-Order Pooling Feature Enhancement
For the proposed GCHCon-LSTM model, to test the accuracy of the model, ARIMA, SVM, LSTM, CNN-LSTM, GHTnet and ILRCN are trained using the current dataset. The comparison results are shown in Table 4. TABLE 4 Comparison Results of Evaluation Indicators Under Different Models ARIMA: The model utilizes a linear relationship calculation to predict the price of electricity over a while. SVM: The model belongs to supervised learning, which mainly utilizes linear methods to solve nonlinear problems.
Motion Planning in UAV-Aided Data Collection with Dynamic Jamming
4. Simulations and Discussion In this section, we present the results of numerical simulations to compare the algorithm in this paper with the SCA algorithm forinitialization proposed in [6] and the traditional DWA algorithm for dynamic environments. We mainly consider two dynamic sources of interference and several obstacles in the environment. To facilitate the simulation, we simulate a data collection task for an SN. Table A1 lists some crucial parameters and their values.
Optimizing Water Distribution in Transboundary Rivers Based on a Synthesis–Dynamic–Harmonious Approach: A Case Study of the Yellow River Basin, China
2.1.2. Water Distribution Ideas (1) Bearable water distribution. The first prerequisite for water distribution in transboundary rivers is to determine the carrying capacity of the water resources system. Therefore, “carrying capacity” is the central guiding ideology of water distribution [27]. In a sense, the development and utilization of water resources within the carrying range is the most basic requirement for water distribution in transboundary rivers.
Scalable synthesis of dual-confined SiO/one-dimensional carbon/amorphous carbon anode based on heterogeneous carbon structure evolution
Scalable synthesis of dual-confined SiO/one-dimensional carbon/amorphous carbon anode based on heterogeneous carbon structure evolution Hebang Shi, Guoqiang Shao, Binbin Wu, Zongxian Yang, Huigang Zhang, Qingshan Zhu and Pengpeng Lv Abstract The modification of dual carbon confined structure formed by one-dimensional carbon (1D-C) and amorphous carbon (a-C) exhibits great potentials in improving the cycling stability of SiO anodes.
High Sample Throughput LED Reactor for Facile Characterization of the Quantum Yield Spectrum of Photochemically Produced Reactive Intermediates
Photochemically produced reactive intermediates (PPRIs) by natural photosensitizers such as chromophoric dissolved organic matter (CDOM) play numerous key roles in aquatic biogeochemical processes. PPRI productions rely on both the intensity and the spectrum of incident sunlight. While the impacts of sunlight intensity on PPRI productions are well-studied, there remains insufficient understanding of the spectrum-dependence of PPRI productions.

Sulfur-Doping Achieves Efficient Oxygen Reduction in Pyrolyzed Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks
We report the first synthesis of sulfurated porous carbon materials with well-defined morphologies and uniform N/S distributions via pyrolysis of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks loaded with sulfur-containing molecules. The optimized sulfurated catalyst demonstrates excellent electrocatalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in both acid and alkaline media. The sulfurization process under optimized conditions can lower the ORR over-potential by ca.
