OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Air quality has improved but may still be slightly sensitive to some people with respiratory issues. Otherwise, the rest of today through tonight will be mostly clear with lows in the mid 60s. Mostly clear and warm night. The next few days will be seasonable in the upper 80s and lower 90s with mostly sunny skies. Humidity will be high causing heat index to be in the lower to mid 90s. Air quality should be back to good for everyone! Dry start to the new work week.

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - After a great night for fireworks, today is going to be a hazy day due to leftover smoke. Because winds are going to be calm today, it will prevent the smoke from moving out of the area. Unhealthy air quality is expected all day so limit your time outside if you’re sensitive to it. Unhealthy air quality is expected all day today from firework smoke. Expect a mostly sunny day with muggy conditions and temperatures in the mid 80s. A stray t-showers may form in the afternoon.

Bo’s First Alert 6 Forecast: Severe spotty storms during evening hours, dry & summerlike for days

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Latest models continue to indicate a CHANCE for isolated strong storms after 5 PM tonight. If storms develop and become strong, the biggest threat is damaging winds reaching 60 mph, pea size hail, and flooding from heavy rain. Nebraska counties are still under a severe risk. Majority of the area will be dry, but a few communities may be impacted by these storms. This means NOT everyone will see the storms if they form. Spotty strong storms are possible tonight.
