(WBAY) - Families in Marion are facing a growing child care shortage after the city council voted 4-to-1, with one abstention, to deny a conditional use permit that would have allowed Marion Daycare Inc. to expand its services. The vote came following a 2+ hour meeting on July 13. Marion Daycare had applied for the permit to purchase a home on Water Street and expand its licensed capacity from 30 to 45 children. ‘Let’s Dig’ at Zander Park gives kids the opportunity to explore the outdoors and get messy
TWO RIVERS, Wis. (WBAY) - Kids had a chance to get out and get messy on Wednesday in Two Rivers. “Let’s Dig” kicked off at Zander Park, with kids invited to explore the wetland area, squishing mud pies, painting rocks, and of course, digging. “We are exploring the outdoors today. Our goal is to be as messy as possible. The kids will be catching bugs and other creatures, very gently and then releasing them, as they’re exploring the wetland,” said Terry Ehle, the director of the Lester Public Library.
Results of Nolan Wells’ death investigation to be turned over to grand jury, Crump says

(WLBT/Gray News) - The results of the death investigation of Nolan Wells will be turned over to a grand jury once the case is complete, attorney Ben Crump announced during a conference with the Wells family Wednesday. (WBAY) - A fundraising campaign is underway for Wise Woman Gathering Place in Green Bay. “Safe Place Parking” provides monitored overnight parking for anyone who needs it, but because it’s not a federally designated shelter, they have no dedicated funding stream. Last year, 440 people took advantage of Safe Place Parking, more than the entire population of those experiencing homelessness in Brown County. Shelter managers are hoping the community will show their support.
