While You Were Waiting On That Decision, The Deal Walked Out — Here’s How Dealers Are Fixing That
Skip to content Main Navigation Social Connect Resources Our Brand Family Published: A buyer walks onto your lot, finds the vehicle and sits down in F&I. The approval is taking a while. They step out. While your team is waiting on a financial decision, they walk across the street, and another dealer’s lender closes the deal faster using automation. That scenario is playing out every day, and it’s not about rate. It’s about speed.
From automation to answers: Redefining how credit unions use AI
Credit unions have put real effort into digitizing their lending workflows over the past decade. Automation has helped reduce manual effort, accelerate approvals, and improve the member experience. The progress is real, but incremental. Many systems still operate in silos, and automation often focuses on completing individual tasks rather than delivering complete, real-time answers. A shift is taking place.

Are you just "parking" your member service, or actually helping?
A simple grocery store experience recently sparked a powerful conversation with my best friend, and it’s been weighing on my mind. She was telling me about the "New and Expecting Parent" parking spots. Great idea, right? Except, there wasn't a single cart return in sight. "It's like they think a special parking spot solves everything," she sighed. "But juggling a newborn, groceries, and a cart, with no return in sight? It just adds to the stress." And that’s when it hit me.
Unlocking sustainable prosperity with clean energy lending
Local Government Federal Credit Union and Civic Federal Credit Union Every day, Americans experience economic challenges, from rising housing and transportation costs to high energy bills and grocery expenses. President Trump ran on the promise of helping consumers afford the cost of living and it is vital that the federal government honor that promise now.
Microloans make members for life
Imagine you have a member, Bob, who is 30, married with a kid and slowly making his way through the bachelor’s degree he didn’t think he wanted or needed at 19. He’s still writing his midterm paper on the evolution of flagella at 2 am after eight hours at work. Bob’s almost done, and then his laptop screen goes black. Not even the blue pinwheel of death. Just black. He explained this to his professor, who, with some skepticism, gave Bob a 48-hour extension.
The future of lending: What’s in store for credit unions in 2025
The lending landscape is evolving rapidly, and credit unions that rely on outdated processes risk falling behind. Rising interest rates, shifting borrower expectations, and technological advancements are reshaping the industry. Traditional mortgage lending is slowing, and home equity lending is gaining traction—but outdated processes are creating inefficiencies. Meanwhile, data and automation are changing how lenders assess risk, process applications, and deliver borrower experiences.
HELOC and home equity trends: Navigating the new lending landscape
As we step into 2025, the mortgage and home equity landscape continue to evolve, presenting both opportunities and challenges for consumers and financial institutions. After a turbulent few years of inventory constraints and affordability concerns, we’re beginning to see a shift toward stability.

Meeting the future before it arrives
The future of credit unions doesn’t lie in simply keeping up with consumers, technology, or regulation; it depends on our ability to meet these challenges ahead of where they are. This mindset requires anticipating what matters most to them before they even recognize it themselves. Instead of reacting to industry shifts, credit unions must build structured processes that bridge the critical gap between insight and action—allowing them to turn knowledge into scalable and impactful strategies.
The absence of CISOs in credit unions: A structural reality

2025 auto lending outlook: Leveraging technology and member-centric strategies for success
The auto lending market is transforming as consumer behavior shifts, economic uncertainty persists, and technology reshapes the lending landscape. With auto loan demand expected to rise this year, credit unions have a unique opportunity to capture market share if they adapt. However, to remain competitive and effectively serve their members, credit unions must address additional challenges, such as rising negative equity and increased competition from captives.
