I am a multimedia journalist/reporter at KJRH 2 News Oklahoma, passionate about storytelling and news. You can primarily catch me as the morning show reporter working alongside our anchor and meteorologist to bring breaking overnight news and set expectations for people's days and the week ahead.
My career has given me a strong background in researching, pitching newsworthy stories, reporting on deadline, and editing both film and written works. As a multimedia journalist, I’ve strived to be an asset to the 2 News team, becoming a utility player. With that goal, I tackle any task set forth by management. This included schedule changes, engaging with corporate to innovate vertical to horizontal media, and being a go-to reporter when breaking weather and news happen. This versatility brought quick growth in reporting in many different settings, expanding my understanding of the field.
With guidance from the 2 News’ executive reporter, I’ve worked to be a transformer at the station, often being first to try new techniques and ideas as outlined by corporate. This made me a well-rounded journalist and a strong asset to my team.
