Death Note isn't just one of the best psychological thriller anime series around: it's one of the best anime series ever, period. It's such a great series that it's banned in several countries for its incredibly dark themes and deeply brutal messaging. Death Note does a lot of things right, but it isn't perfect. The ending isn't great, as it doesn't do a solid job of wrapping up the series' loose ends before it concludes.

Isekai has become one of the most popular anime genres in no time at all. What was once a relatively niche subgenre has become nothing short of dominant. There are a ton of reasons to watch isekai, and worldbuilding might be number one. Isekai series have a unique advantage in the worldbuilding department, as once they transport their main character to another world, the sky is the limit. Some series are relatively realistic, like Burn the Witch, while series like Lord of Mysteries are anything but.
